How pieces are built.
Seelye Leather Works reflexes that craftsmanship is not a lost art. All my items are handcrafted. Every customized or stock item is made by hand. Since the items are handcrafted each item is unique. My pieces are made to last with a reverence for traditional leather working and commitment to quality. I (SLW) use only the finest natural leather. The natural surface of leather has its own characteristics. The proof of its uniqueness is markings that occurred during the life of the animal. Leather used to create my products will include scratches, scars, brands, insect bites, indentations and scuffs. This adds to the uniqueness and beauty of each piece. I do custom work
If you don't see an item on my site it doesn't mean I can't make it. I do custom work from holsters, guitar straps, accordion straps, etc. For delivery time, 4-6 months is not unusual with some deliveries stretching longer. It all depends on my work orders at the time. I take my time with each piece. When it leaves my shop it is to my high standards. I have learned over the years when you rush you make mistakes.
All in stock items purchased on the site will be shipped the day of the order. The only exception would be purchases made on weekends. They will be shipped on the following Monday.

I make a variety of western holsters and rigs from Buscadero to Mexican loop. All of the holsters are hand sewn. The rigs may have some machine stitching; usually only accent stitching or the belt construction. The holsters and belts are always lined with American Bison, deer or cow.

Modern holsters are made in a variety of styles. The holsters are crafted in the same manner as the western holsters. I use paddleclips, leather loops and metal clips to secure the holster. All the modern holsters are wet molded to customize the holster to your gun making it a very secure fit.

The slings come in a variety of lines. The top of the line are the Heirloom slings. Heirloom slings are fully hand carved, padded and lined with a piping edge. Next, the Standard line is also hand carved and /or tooled. There is also an Economy line with three grades. All the grades of the Economy line are made with the same quality of leather and craftsmanship as the Heirloom and the Standard lines.
